Date Night

Last night, John and I decided to have a date night. We drove to Montgomery and didn't know where we wanted to eat, so we decided on Buffalo Wild Wings since it was right next to the movie theater. We randomly saw of 2 of our friends there that also go to Troy!! Of course, the food was delicious!

After we ate, we walked next door to the movie theater. We decided to see 127 Hours. I'm not really big on the Academy Awards, but I always like to know about the nominees for Best Picture and when I saw that movie I wondered what it was about. I watched the trailer, and wanted to see it instantly. The story of Aron Ralston is amazing, and I was very intrigued. The movie turned out to be one of the best movies I have seen in a while. Everyone should go see it.

Graduation...WHAT??

When I started school this semester it was obvious that this would be last semester of lecture classes, an internship in the summer, and then I'm done! Well, it really hit me today because I'm filling my intent to graduate in the next few days!! In just a short 6 months, I will be done with school forever and I have to be a "big girl". I just cannot believe it!! And probably what's even more crazy is that I don't have plans for after graduation. All I know is that I have lived in the same city my whole life, and it's time for me to move on. Whenever that time comes to actually move, it's going to be sad. My boyfriend still has 2 more years of college and that will probably be the toughest thing ever. I have never done a long distance relationship, and to perfectly honest...it scares me. I'm going to be in a different state, and all we will have is talking to each other on the phone and Skype. I was skeptic to the idea at first, but I know that if it's meant to be we will make it work.

What would I do without my best friends??

You know those times when you don't want to see or talk to anyone other than your best friends? Well, I'm going through one of those times and I honestly don't know if I could do it without my 2 best friends.

This would be Kristin. We have known each other literally our whole lives. We grew up together, and I can't even count how many times she has been there by my side to help me through some tough situations.

This is Elizabeth. I consider Elizabeth more than just a best friend, she is my sister (through our sorority). Elizabeth and I have known each other now for almost 4 years, and we have found out that we pretty much are the same person.

Don't ever take your best friends for granted. They are your best friends for a ton of reasons. If they are truly your best friends, they would drop anything just to help you and you would do the same in return.

Internship

I thought I would share with my very few followers about one thing that I am just really excited about this semester! This semester at Troy, I have gotten the opportunity to do an internship within the Sport and Fitness Management department. For those of you that don't know, that's my major. I will be working very closely with not only 2 professors that are teaching an Event Management class, but ALSO the students. Which is kind of crazy since I'm still an undergrad and I have had many classes with the students that are taking this class. One of the professors that I am working with I have gotten to know pretty well the past 2 years. He is going to work my butt off, I know, but I'm ready!!
I will try to update you all with this internship throughout the semester, and see if I'm still enjoying it just as much! :) haha!

2010/2011

I can't believe that it's another year. Wow.

2010 was a pretty amazing year. In February, I got to see my favorite artist perform in Birmingham, John Mayer! (And then again in October, in Atlanta!) That was one of my favorite moments in 2010. In March, I found out that I was going to be an IMPACT Leader at Troy University during the summer. In May, I turned 21. Once again, probably one of my favorite moments of 2010. I will never forget June and July of 2010. First, I had one of the most amazing jobs ever. I was one of fourteen people to welcome the incoming freshman to Troy. Not only did the students learn a lot from me, but I learned a lot about myself through my job. Through that job, I met a pretty amazing guy! We have been together now for 6 1/2 months! :) In November, Alpha Gamma Delta was announced winners of Homecoming. In December, Troy went to the New Orleans bowl and beat Ohio University.

2011 is going to be a pretty big year for me. Starting in just a few days, I will take my last semester of lecture classes. For my major, I have to do an internship which will take place during the summer. I'm not exactly sure what I will be doing, but I know it will be a huge opportunity for me. And just like that, I will be done with college!! I cannot believe that it's almost here. After college, who knows what I will be doing. I'm hoping to get a job somewhere...out of Alabama. I have always said I want to get away so I'll see what happens.

I hope I didn't bore you too much. And I promise, I will be blogging more! :)
